Central Government Client is seeking an IT Programme Portfolio Director to be responsible for delivery of a Portfolio of Projects to agreed specifications, to defined timescales, quality and within budget accountable to the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for managing delivery of a Portfolio of IT projects
- Accountable for the control of the relevant IT projects budgets.
- Responsible for commissioning and managing the delivery of IT solutions to support customer change programmes
- Management of Integrated Project and Support Teams of the order of 25 - 50 personnel, in addition to multiple supplier teams
- Managing complex relationships with stakeholders
· Establishing and managing governance and controls and the sourcing of project personnel where required
Personal Specification:
- Significant experience of working on large scale, complex IT enabled business change programs.
- Experience of client side and integration working in an outsourced IT environment.
- Strong inter-personal skills
- Very strong analytical, presentational, strategic planning skills, interdependency management skills and ability to clearly articulate requirements succinctly to a diverse audience
- Strong ability to manage budgets effectively
- Proven experience of managing a portfolio
